In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.”
— Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Diego Ambrosio was born in Catanzaro, Italy, located in the southern part of the country. He is passionate about nature, cooking, singing, and playing different musical instruments like guitar, piano, and bass. Diego considers himself an extrovert and a talkative person, but he also likes to listen to people. Having studied a lot of Socratic and pre-Socratic philosophy, Diego always enjoys supporting his friends and people who ask for advice about existentialism and social behaviors.
Diego graduated from the University of Calabria with a master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literature with honors. After graduating, Diego began volunteering on behalf of the Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) in Denmark and Norway. There, he contributed to the management and care of organic farms. This enlightening life experience shaped Diego’s career philosophy and readied him to face any future challenges.
Afterward, Diego worked on the Costa Crociere cruise line for two years. With extremely long hours and few days off, he decided that the cruise line life wasn’t for him. However, Diego still wanted more opportunities to live abroad. He moved to London, where he began to develop his hospitality career. Here, Diego decided he was ready for another change and relocated to Phuket, Thailand, to teach abroad, where he lives today with his father and girlfriend.
