Let us rewind to 2020 where we began quizzing people from within Dreams Abroad and without about what they would say to inspire our audience to enjoy a #WinningWednesday. Our aim was to provide an outlet for our friends and acquaintances to hand out some #WednesdayWisdom about life, work — whatever came into their minds. We subsequently posted the videos on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, and on on our YouTube channel too.
Our readers have dreams abroad. That is one of the main motivations they have for visiting our site, to discover how to realize these aspirations. We aim to provide inspirational advice for anybody contemplating a new life overseas, as they follow in the footsteps of our members and associates.
Lamon Chapman has so many strings to his bow. A talented musician with a Latin GRAMMY nomination, he also teaches English as a second language. Drawing on his work experience in Colombia, he suggests potential job seekers notarize their CVs and resumes.
After relocating to Medellín to study Spanish at the Universidad EAFIT, Lamon fell head over heels for the city and the country. He is a big champion of Colombia and has recommended exploring everything this beautiful destination has to offer to friends and family. Lamon is enamoured by the climate, lapping up the subtropical rays after growing up with the Mediterranean weather of Los Angeles.
Colombia allows Lamon to continue with his music via PRIMEROS 5 ENTERTAINMENT. Señor Chapman and four amigos have taken it upon themselves to revolutionize Colombia’s musical events scene. Lamon has also taught in Medellin, first at a religious bilingual school and later at a university.
English is a gateway in Colombia, as well as in other countries. For students, it is a way of securing a better education and employment options in future. For teachers, it is a path to a guaranteed income.
