Beginning in 2020, we reached out to people from within Dreams Abroad and without to participate in a #WinningWednesday project. The premise was straightforward enough: this is a vehicle for you to share some #WednesdayWisdom about life, work, whatever you want to get off your chest. We promote the videos on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, and have also posted them on our YouTube channel.
Our May 2021 spokesman is Eddyline Kayaks’ president, Scott Holley. A Harvard Business School graduate, Scott is a master at keeping a cool head during a crisis. So when the pandemic hit, he decided to utilize the parts on the floor of the Eddyline workroom to create a much needed face shield.
Before COVID-19 hit hard, when we wanted to get away from it all, we jumped on a plane. But that luxury and/or easy option hasn’t been available to us as short, medium, and long term travel has been put on hold. Aviation’s loss is watercraft’s gain, with people swapping the vantage point of a window seat for that of a kayak.
Introducing Scott Holley
If we can’t explore foreign shores, we can look closer to home for discovery channels. A kayak is also a responsible choice as a mode of transport. Not only is it a great green option, but it also offers a perfect, protective bubble from the water below.
Nothing stops Scott. Where others see barriers, he perceives opportunities. Life is a challenge that he relishes, with his current goal making the gulf between you and the Great Outdoors a smaller one.
Watching Scott talk about Eddyline Kayaks gives us an opportunity to hear the voice of quiet confidence. Scott doesn’t need to shout to get his message across. He knows that his passion for getting out and about on the water is one that is becoming increasingly popular as we start to reconnect with nature.
